Meet David M. Winsor, D.C.
Dr. David Winsor was born in Scotland. His mother was Scottish, his father English.
After completing his formal schooling in Scotland he left the UK for greener pastures to Toronto, Canada. He did his pre-chiropractic studies at the University of Calgary and then moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he graduated with a Doctorate of Chiropractic, cum laude, at Life Chiropractic. While in Atlanta, he met and married his wife.
Dr. Winsor moved back to his hometown, Dundee, Scotland after graduating. He spent almost 7 years there, practicing in the clinic he took over from his father, a doctor of acupuncture. News quickly passed of his wide-ranging techniques and congenial disposition. Winsor & Winsor, a multidisciplinary healthcare facility, attracted patients from all around Scotland, both foreign and local. Under the tutelage of his father, a founding member of the British College of Acupuncture, and a course of study in London, Dr. Winsor soon was able to use acupuncture to treat his patients. While the experience was invaluable, the persistent rain and mist from the North Sea convinced the Winsor's to return to Florida.
In 1989, he and his wife with their young son returned to the United States, and chose Port Charlotte as their next home. Since then, he has been the clinic director and chiropractor at Access Chiropractic Center. Dr. Winsor has been active in the community as a guest lecturer speaking on nutrition related health problems as well as relief from pain and the benefits of chiropractic. He has been an involved member with the Murdock Rotary for over 20 years, currently serving as Vice President. Since 2008 Charlotte County has voted him "Best Chiropractor" - going on his 5th year! In addition to winning the community's trust he has earned the trust of local medical doctors and specialists making Access Chiropractic Center a clinic of choice.
Dr. Winsor has a wealth of experience treating spine and joint related problems and has treated patients of all ages, from newborns with colic, to patients of 95 years of age. He also treats many painful spinal problems related to pregnancy, sports injuries, car accidents, as well as the more common problems of headache, neck pain, low back pain and disc related problems. Dr. Winsor also specializes in nutrition related health problems using Applied Kinesiology, diagnostic testing and customized protocols.
